Design

- Available In flanged Ends To ANSI B16.5 , AWWA , IS Standards with 150/300 ratings
- Butterfly type diverter valves
- Standard thru bolt cover design. Other covers on request
- Perforated screens are standard.
- May be installed in horizontal pipelines.
- All welders are qualified to ASME Section IX.
- Strainers designed to meet the requirements of ASME Section VIII,Div.1.
- Drain with plug is is standard . Drain valves can be supplied on request
- Vents with plug and Dp indicators are standard.
- Large body with Guaranteed low pressure drop as per Table 4.
- Net free straining area minimum 6 times for standard screen
- Diverter valves are electrically actuated
- Diaphram/Bellows Differntial pressure switches are standard
- IP65 Control Panels are standard - Other classes on Request
- All valves have manual override
Principle Of Operation
At the time of startup, both filters are clean and ready for use. One of the filters is put into operation while the other is in standby mode. Once the operation starts, the filter will eventually choke and the differential pressure (Dp) across the filter will increase. When the Dp reaches a preset point, the controller will close the diverter valves that are in the open state and open the valves that are in the closed state. Thus, the flow will be diverted to the clean filter and flow to the choked filter will be cut off. The controller will also indicate which filter is choked and the hooter will turn on. The hooter can be manually reset, and the choked filter can be cleaned and made ready for the next cycle.
