Air Release Valve
Efficient air release solutions for maintaining optimal system performance and preventing air locks in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

About Air Release Valves
Air Release Valves are designed to automatically release accumulated air from pressurized water and fluid systems, ensuring efficient flow and protecting pipeline infrastructure. The presence of trapped air can reduce the effective flow area, increase head loss, cause water hammer, affect metering accuracy, and accelerate corrosion.
At Avant Tech, we partner with Flometriq, a globally recognized manufacturer of high-performance industrial Air Release Valves, to provide reliable air management solutions for critical pipeline and process applications. Manufactured in India to international engineering standards, these valves are supplied to industries across the GCC, USA, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
Available in a range of materials including Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, and other specialized alloys, Flometriq Air Release Valves offer excellent durability, corrosion resistance, and long service life. They are widely used in Water Distribution Networks, Water Treatment Plants, Irrigation Systems, Pumping Stations, Industrial Utilities, and other infrastructure applications.
Through our partnership with Flometriq, Avant Tech delivers proven air management solutions backed by decades of engineering expertise, helping customers improve system efficiency, reduce maintenance requirements, prevent operational issues, and enhance overall pipeline reliability.

Operation
The continuous acting air release valve continuously releases entrapped air from pressurized systems. Without air valves, pockets of accumulated air may cause the following hydraulic disturbances:
- •Restriction of effective flow due to a reduction of the flow area. In extreme cases this will cause complete flow stoppage.
- •Obstruction of efficient hydraulic transmission due to air flow disturbances.
- •Accelerate cavitation damages.
- •Pressure transients and surges.
- •Corrosion in pipes, fittings and accessories.
- •Danger of a high-energy burst of compressed air.
- •Inaccuracies in flow metering.
The valve functions while the system is under pressure, according to the following stages:
- •Entrapped air, which accumulates at peaks and along the system, rises to the top of the valve, which in turn displaces the liquid in the valve's body.
- •The float descends, unsealing the rolling seal. The automatic air release orifice opens and the accumulated air is released.
- •Liquid enters the valve and the float rises, pushing the rolling seal back to its sealing position.
